Driveway Pavers Installation
Nowadays, many homeowners are diverging away from concrete and asphalt, and choosing to have their driveway paved instead. With so many different types and styles to choose from, paved driveway can be a great way to give enhance your home’s beauty and give it a personal touch. Your driveway should look welcoming to you and your guests and give your home a warm sense of security. It should also instill a sense peace from the business of life.
- Driveway paver styles - choose from impervious or permeable paver. An impervious paver driveway would be your traditional driveway. A permeable paver driveway prevents water from accumulating on the surface. A heating system could be installed beneath paves to keep snow from accumulating.
- Laying pattern options – the sturdiest and most common option is a herringbone pattern set at a 45-degree angle to the garage. An ashlar pattern can be effective for heavier traffic and provides a more contemporary look.
- Thickness and base – traditional pa have been constructed using 80mm pavers with a standard 6″ base. A lighter 60mm paver with a thicker base is becoming more common to use. In rainy climate, base depth can be to 12 inches.
- Color and border options – it is common to choose a color that matches the roof of the home. Contrasting paver shape, texture, and color is another option.
- Embellishments - focal points can be added with pattern embellishments for unique touches to your driveway. Contemporary focal points can be created using circles, squares, or rectangles.
